We are paying $60 a year so we can have kinect take photos of us? Again you are getting away from my point. And that point is that does thta have to do with online multiplayer? Honestly out of all the people who have gold memberships how many of them would actually use facebook, twitter, etc.? Why not make it so all of the games have dedicated servers for xbox live? Now that new codec is actually something i am very excited about. That might actually be one of the good reasons paying $60 a year. I think it would be better if Micro$oft just charged maybe $20 a year just for online gaming and cross game chat. How many of you actually use acebook, twitter, and last.fm on xbox live? I tried to use all of them but i thought they were all better on the computer which is sitting right next to my xbox. |
What will be the difference between posting your video of you from Black Ops and and posting your video from Yoostar 2? It seems you are voluntarily dismissing the Kinect online experience as not online. Both Black Ops and Yoostar 2 are games. I think this does count as online multiplayer. You simply choose to not give it that much validation.
I personally have never, and probably will never, have the honor of enojoying server based gaming. I truly do think that PS3 and the 360 are hugely conter productive. The PS3 has all of these servers, but only # of PS3 owners actually use online. The PS3 has a large portion of single player players. Many of their games are amazing for single player gameplay. On the other hand, the 360 has a 0 online play rate. coupled with more Hardware sales and more online use, Microsoft should have servers for their exclusives.
But when looking at that different amount of online gameplay, it seems to really make a difference having cross-gaming chat and party capabilities. If the online is free on the PS3, by all means, the PS3 should have a higher online play rate. But it doesn't.
With everything we get this fall, and the ability to pay only $25 for a membership, I think that is a pretty big incentive for saying that XBL WILL be better. As of right now, paying about 4.50 a month for online gaming and huge discounts (which add up to about $5 a month of you play popular arcade/mainstream video games. If they half price everything (like they do) we easily save as much money as we spend, probably even more.
That in my book, coupled with everything else, is pretty big.
If you want to say you get free Sony games from sony PS1 exclusives, go right ahead. But it's pretty easy for Sony to hand you something that is there's, and pretty hard for Microsoft to get discounts for major 3rd party games.
V: And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence.
