Well if I don't have Live I can't play online with my friends or any game at all, so XBox is pretty pointless to me without Live. Also the original XBox had Live support for many, many years when Sony/Nintendo usually take down servers a lot faster.

Anyways topics like these have been beaten to death, why bring it up again?

well i find that funny when original xbox live was disconnected and Sony is still running its PS2 services such as Socom 1 which was released 9 years ago.

Xbox live is a rip

Sony has Microsoft by the balls because now PSN is the same and can be even better than Live and its free. SCE is a strong believer in dedicated Severs and Live hardly has any. Also most dedicated severs are own by the publisher or Devoloper again rendering Live's payment point less.

Xbox fanboys you have been Fooled. You are paying for Nothing. You are paying to communicate with your friends. Well guess what Microsoft gives that out for free with MSN. You are paying for a Friends list again is offered free by MS. Party chat, again MSN. You are paying to have free stuff run on your xbox.

face it Live must cease payments with the next system or PSN will murder the next live because my then PSN will still be free with majority of lives features free with optional pay plans for other features. Dont think Sony is going to introduce payments for PSN because of PSN , thats there big marketing push to draw in people from xbox

Socom is a exception to the rule - go and try to play all those PS2 games you have that are online enabled and you'll see a majority of them have their servers gone. XBox had every single online game up for 7 years with the exception of a half dozen that were pulled by their developers (Capcom: Steel Battalian, and Sega: Phantasy Star Online) you can't top that. Sony has been taking down servers every year and I believe Socom is still up because some countries are just now getting PS2s, as Sony is expanding its global reach.

Honestly towards the end it was not worth keeping the original XBox servers up if you looked at the stats - The most played game was Halo 2 and it had just over 1k people playing it, everything else was a user here and there nothing else came close. I went back to some of the games before they shut down and 99% of the games had no one playing them. I wish MS kept up the DLC for games but they would just be bleeding money from all the free downloads. Seven years is a damn good run for old games that no one really cared about. Basically XBox 1 Live was still up to tide people over till more and better 360 games came out and they were able to buy 360s. Once the 360 was out just over a year it had enough games to switch over to.

Calling people Fanboys is not going to help your arguement either and It's rather inmature.

It's just that simple.
