Nintendo is one of the most profitable companies in the world, the most profitable in Japan and the only console manufacturer to make a profit on every console sold since day of release. If any console manufacturer would be better going 3rd party it would be SONY, their franchises would light up the sales charts on the 360 and they wouldn't have to contend with making billion dollar loses every year due to their hardware.
