The Reason people actually beleive this whole "UNDERTRACKING" nonsense is companies hire firms to post genious stuff like that on here in forums.. its war tactics.. Anyone know the 360 was also undertracked for years in some parts of the world ? Well ANY of the consoles can be undertracked in some parts of the world, but you'll be off by thousands of units - NOT MILLIONS HAHAHA..
If you're a Sony fan of course its hard to see what was once selling like the Wii ( or better ) go to the curb.. but they can still have a better console next time .. I loved the PS2 .. but this time around I think the 360 is just a better overall console. Not that many people who own even a Bluray player actually buy alot of movies. Figures released show that media sales are down - compared to DVD in its prime, its very unlikely Blu ray will ever reach the world volume that DVD did because the world is a difference place. Convience reigns over quality, and most would rather order a movie from their cable company for a couple bucks, or use RedBox, etc then buy a movie they will watch once or twice. People only buy a few GREAT movies that really rock - Movies like that only come out once or twice a year. Only the RICH buy collections of movies anymore, and there are more people out there ( on consoles ) that would rather buy games..
Lastly, back to the subject .. Game sales also tell you the 360 is ahead. Compare the best selling games of PS3 to Xbox 360's ...

So, why is the PS3 selling so much less the 360 ? Simple, theres millions of more 360 owners !! PS3's #1 best selling game sold roughly what 360's 3rd best seller did --- PS3's #2 game sold roughly what 360's 5th best did !!! Also kinda funny.. the 360 is killing them with sales, but Sony ignores that by Telling Sony fans they have more choices when they dont.. and Sony ignores and steers you away from the FACT that Sony's PS3's BEST SELLING TITLES ARE ALSO FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS .. LOL
