There are enough cool names that are like  insider jokes have hidden meaning to a few, and otherwise good names. Seph doesn't sound bad to me. I know a guy named Solaris, (after that book). Cool name, people call him Sol.

Star Trek Deep Space nine has a Kira female character. Now If you are a boy and you watch DS9 and your name is Kira it doesn't work.

ok so in Death Note, there is a character that named himself Kira. Yes, it was a boy. Thats why I said it can be a boy or girl name in the first sentence.

Just like the name Andrien, it can be a boy or girl name.

Names with an A at the end in general are going to be REALLY hard to pass off as guy's names in western culture.

I mean, ANY name can be a boy's name.  You could name a boy Sue.  Ain't gonna make it any easier that there is a song about a boy named sue.
