Then, after suffering, our drill seargent told us we could eat whatever we wanted. I grabbed a big piece of strawberry cake with white icing and I topped it with ice cream. As soon as I got ready to eat, he came to my table and said "THAT'S IT!! YOU'RE DONE!!" And we had to drink our fluids (some disgusting drink called Basic-Aid and throw all of our food away! I still believe that was the greatest slice of cake that I would have ever eaten.* |
