Yeah they do. And yes it does.

But on the flip side of that, controller free tracking based control also provides both an alternate control scheme (that may or may not be better than a basic game pad) as well as in interesting and different set of design options when laying down the foundation for a game.

I think the best Kinect games will ultimately prove to be the ones that don't simply try to take traditional controller based games and replace that input with gestures. The only problem is, the vast majority of games currently being played simply work best with traditional controller based input. You have to completely start over during the controls design phase to make something really different with Kinect.

Can it be done? Of course. The question is who will do it and how successful will they be.
