I'm anything but a huge rap fan, but Tupac's music caught my attention despite my general dislike of the genre. His lyrics had such sincerity, were potent, catchy and his style carried such charisma.

He spoke (rapped) as if he had something important to say and I thought he conveyed it brilliantly. I couldn't relate to much, if anything, he'd talked about, yet I was often deeply affected. He was a great artist.

Overrated? I certainly don't think so.
