I say neither. I own RDR for xbox 360 and i played MOH beta for PS3. It seemed as if MOH was trying to be a combination of bad company 2 and cod. The result was terrible and something i got bored of fast. That combination did not work well together. RDR was not very memorable. Even over xbox live my friends and i still talk about GTA 4 but RDR is long forgotten. The reason is because RDR multiplayer got boring fast. I imagined the multiplayer would have cool horse races/chases. In multiplayer horses are nowhere to be seen and is basicalle team deathmatch over and over again. The single player was also long forgotten. Don't get me wrong it was good while it lasted but it was basically GTA 4 with a western setting. In the end i also prefer GTA 4 single player because it felt more alive and it was also more memorable imo. To this day on these forums we still talk about uncharted 2 and demons souls but not RDR. And even my friends on xbox live go back and play GTA 4 cops and crooks but we never even talk about RDR or even try to start a conversation about it.
Both of these games deserve a rent. I think it would be a better idea just to wait for COD black ops or just buy bad company 2 ultimate edition because both were a better experience than MOH imo. As for RDR i think you should just rent it. Im not going to lie, RDR will likely win some game of the year awards but so did GTA 4 and according to most people on these forums GTA 4 did not deserve any game of the year awards. If you do want an open world game though, i recommend waiting for fallout new vegas or fable 3.
