But the real question is... what are there anti-cloaking devices like? The Predators for example have things that would make most cloaking devices useless and it's standard issue gear. (Goggles that track all kinds of things like body tempeture, different wavelengths of light, energy output)

Because they were hunting people for sport and not trying to fight an army?
It's like asking why the US army is so good if some guy out hunting doesn't get all of the deer on a hunting preserve. (Which is where predators is located... a hunting perserve.)
All the Predator movies are based on their recreational sport where they strip themselves down to the basest of weaponry to hunt other beings for sport.
