I actually never intended to give the PS3 version a go, I was just going to install the PC version again. Playing an MMO on a console is pretty much impossible for me since my consoles are, you know, hooked to my TV and The Wife might get a little angry if I hogged the TV all day playing a game. But yeah, I believe they will fix the economy issues and fixes to the terrible questing system are possible if they can admit their mistakes. If instead of 8 30 minute quests every six hours they gave us 4 hours worth of quests every 36 hours that would be much better. Have quests range in value from 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes so that way those noob quests that take only 5 minutes wouldn't mean I'm done with the game for a day and half after playing an hour. Fixing those two issues alone would go a long way towards fixing the game but sadly that wouldn't be enough. The biggest issue by far is just the plain abysmal UI. To fix that they need to completely scrap what they have and start over from scratch. I really just don't see them doing that and even if they do they aren't going to get it in and polished by March. |
Are the quests and quest times designed the way there are right now because of the Fatigue system?
When I rad a few scans and info about FF XIV, there were talking highly abou the UI and HUD of the game where it's all customizable and designed to make things more convenient for the player but I guess that's not the case.
And I seriously doubt that even if they delay the PS3 Version, it just won't do the game justice. Can you imagine FF XIV being dumbed down more than it is right now for the PS3 version?
