Maybe it's just because they bought a truckload of Kinect and the demand is not crazy like they hoped so they ask their employees to harass buyers who maybe don't know it's coming to buy Kinect.
Like Gamestop with their "BUY USED GAMES AND SAVE 5$ OMGWTFBBQ!!!"
or "WE HAVE PREORDERS BONUSES BUT WE SELL THE GAME 65$ INSTEAD OF 60$ LIKE ALL OTHER SHOPS IN CANADA *insert evil laugh*"
