If the fine is big enough people would get it just in case i'd think.  Not the best solution though, I agree.

Apparently, I guess the county the guy comes from has repeatidly voted against it being a mandatory part of the budget... and levies and taxes on that level have to be voted on by the people.

The people voting against this... are no doubt the same people who don't pay their fire insurance payments.

Afterall no doubt making it a tax would make the "fee" cheaper for each individual.


Either way, at least the people who's houses will burn down will be the same as those who don't want to pay for it.

Knowing this country... if the firefighters DID put out the fire, the guy would sue them for "water damaging" his property. 

I don't think that would've happened, but you can be sure he wouldn't have payed the tax and fine.
