Does 3D hog the CPU?

2 reasons:

1. TV's which work with PS3 do not show 1080p resolution for gaming

2. PS3 has issues running 720p in 3D. Motostorm game in 3D is not anywhere close to 720p.

i forgot where i read this. probably on these forums somewhere but wasn't gran turismo 5 confirmed 1080p 3d?

While the TVs can't accept the signal and won't show 1080p even if GT5 does 1080p3D, there are other reasons why it most likely won't be 1080p 3D.

For one, GT5 won't be 1080p in 2D. They are using a scaling technique to strech the horizontal pixels from 1280 to 1920. Its running in 1280x1080p natievely. :)
