You haven't been lied to either, developing these games isn't an easy task (being in school for it - I know that first hand).

Never mind the fact that MANY games get delayed and multiplatform games are plagued with this more than anything else. What about all of the 360 and PS3 games that released on time? If the game was rushed and released with bugs/glitches, people would moan then too.

As far as I'm concerned, if the game can receive more polish and be a better end product by a delay, delay it.
