I'm keeping my expectations really low for Fable 3 as I loved Fable 2 but found the game ended right when I thought it was starting to pick up. To do this I haven't been keeping up too much with what changes they've made to this game, what's included, what's been ditched, etc.

I think the Fable games get a lot of bad feedback for attempting to be off-beat and unconventional. I personally love walking into a town and having people clap and cheer or run away screaming in fear. It's nice to see your decisions affect the game world as a whole and not just some tiny variations in the end level or cutscene. I also love the British charm and humour. Having said that they removed too much depth from Fable 2. Sure it's not trying to be an unconventional RPG, but the melee combos were lacking, magic spells were lacking, and the missions weren't all that diverse.

I'd love if they took some inspiration from Assassin's Creed 2 for combat mechanics and Red Dead Redemption for community interactivity (random people asking for help)... and both for mission variety. Would make the world feel so much more alive. I'm also interested in how the whole ruling thing plays out.

I'm also glad to see the great spirit amongst "opposing" devs. Shows some real class in an industry full of mud slinging.
