He's arguing it because murder outside of Saudi won't get him a death sentence. While being gay anywhere will get him killed when he returned to Saudi.

I'm well aware of that unfortunately. Overly opressive ideology generally leads to hyprocracy and if he is infact gay, that will just be one more example of that very fact.
