Education's really the answer to everything.

No amount of education will help, if that education is in an area no one wants.  I knew of a person with multiple degrees in theological studies that had to drive a school bus to pay the bills.  When the going is tough, and the options doesn't seem there, it is time for character, inspiration, and innovation, along with the heart to help that is needed, FAR more than just education.  Education tells you what is, not what will be. 

I said education, not theology.

Education teaches you how to learn, how to analyze, how to criticize, which are important in almost any field, and in life in general.  And the more educated your voters are, the more efficient your democracy is.

Theology teaches you abstract religious philsophies that haven't changed in thousands of years, and it can't help you pay your bills.

Education is a data dump into the head of person.  I contrast that with training, where you get conditioned to performed certain tasks.  In both case, it depends on what is in demand by others, and context one is in.  With the right theological education and training, one could end up be able to get a job somewhere in a religious community.  Contrast that with an IT education that could get outsourced.
