I think i've heard somewhere that they couldnt port the game to the 360, they had to create a new game engine to run the game on the 360, which i think caused a lot of delays.

oh and i thought that GTA4 was the most expensive game developed at $100 mil, but i thought FF13 was $75. besides MS is rumoured to have to given them $75 mil, so i dont think it was a total diaster. i doubt they spent all that money on advertising, they probabily recouped a lot of the development cost from MS.

Edit: @naznatips, even though they're using the Luminious game engine now, instead of Crystal Tools, a lot of the stuff might be taken straight from Crystal Tools. even though i agree, they never should've of created a new game engine when they already spent 1 year on the PS2 developing.
