Just picked up my first surround sound system and loving it already.
Naturally it supports DPL II and Dolby Digital 5.1. Tried a few wii games and a few DVDs with it and it all sounds amazing.
Its amazing how much better DPLII makes pure stereo sound (Radio/CDs/MP3s.)
The DVD is integrated with the receiver so it implements DD 5.1, and I have digital audio coming from my cable box so that will use DD where applicable.
My Wii naturally uses DPL II.
I would like to know who else has a surround sound system set up and those with both a Wii and 360/PS3 if you can give me anecdotal evidence as to the comparison between the SS with DPL II and DD 5.1
The only comparison I could do was between PL II on the wii and stereo output with the DD of the DVDs. Poth sounded phenominal to me.
Please, no fanboy rants on either side, I would like some real anecdotal evidence and some intelligent discussion.
