I don't think its going to rejuvinate gaming much as its still expensive but for the people that want to go 3D...its totally the way to go.

Decent 3D gaming PC = 1000 bucks

3D projector and a 100 inch high reflective screen = 1000 bucks

3D vision glasses = 200 bucks

2200 dollars for a 100 inch theater screen and a PC which plays 3d blurays, 3D games and lets you do cool stuff in 3d like 3d google earth and 3D picture publishing.

But a 3D bluray/ps3 and a 50 inch 3D screen and you will spend more. Not to mention that there are 5 games and 3 movies to watch at the moment with that setup...

That's if you want to splurge and go for the "Uber" experience. But if you'd go for the "normal" PC gaming experience, then we're talking abouta decent 3d gaming computer,a 22 inch or so 3D screen, and one pair of 3d glasses (btw if I had to buy a 3d TV I'd have to buy 5 pairs of glasses, for the entire family).

But that is not even the normal case. Almost everybody has a PC, and lots of people already have a PC that just needs a graphics card update (maybe), maybe a little bit more memory, a 3d 22 inch monitor (around $350) and the glasses. This would set you back far far less.

Anyway you cut it, you need a 1000 dollar PC minimum. PSU needs to be 700 watts, GPU is going to be $300 minimum, 150-200 dollar cpu, lots of ram, SLI mobo... You can't just "upgrade" your mom and dads computer to run 3D.

3D gaming on the Pc has been around since 1990s...and it barely has 1% of the gamer marketshare today. ITs still a niche entertainment form...
