Does 3D hog the CPU?

If a game runs in 1080p in 3D, you are seeing 1080p/2 per eye and it really isn't 1080p.

For  game to run in full 1080p in 3D, PS3 has to render it at 1920x2160. Too bad that if a game even runs at that resolution, none of the 3D TVs available can display it at 60 hz. full 1080p res like that is only for Bluray which runs at 24 frames per second.
