i agree. if a gmae is released across multiple platforms there should be no timed exclusives. to me its alienating your fan base and it could comeback to bite them in the ass.

making money is more important then catering 2 to one console over the other.

Pardon me but they really didn't need to release Dead Rising 2 on the PS3 if they were so hellbent against the PS3 and lusting after Microsofts money. Furthermore, I'm sure if Microsoft was going to pay them anything, they'd pay for time exclusivity. The DLC was probably moreso in a deal that would leave Microsoft from being pissed off that yet another game was going multiplatform.

Also, it would be awkward if somebody who never played Dead Rising randomly had this character from a game they've never played (2 technically if you count Case Zero) be introduced into a new game. And it probably wasn't cost effective to port the 1st Dead Rising over. Look at all the crap Bioshock went through when their game released only a year after the 360 version.

thats nice, and your pardoned, but i'm not talking about the dead rising fan base(if u look at VGchartz sells numbers for the game this past wk is very close to that of the 360 numbers, and just because a game only apears on one console dosn't mean there isn't a fan base on the console the original or francnise nevere released on)on the sytem the original never released on? i'm talking about capcom fans on the PS3 in general!

the last paragraph really isn't an issue in my opinion.
