Doesn't change the fact that Fifia 2011 was market heavily as PS3 exclusive.

Actually they did pretty much equal numbers in UK so marketing worked considering userbase difference. 47% for PS3 and 50% for X360 version. Rest for Wii and PSP....

Yeah but if you look at the sales % on each format it goes like this
FIFA 09:
360 - 42%
PS3 - 40%
FIFA 10:
360 - 48%
PS3 - 46%
FIFA 11:
360 - 50%
PS3 - 47%
So Sony paid loads of money to get the exclusive advertising and progressed by 1% yoy. The 360 version had no advertising and increased by 2%. So not really sure you can spin it as a success to Sony really when you only increase by 1%?

Yes but to my understating it has been every year marketed heavily on PS3. That's the reason why sales are every year so close despite the userbase difference. Considering huge X360 S sales in UK lately it's not that surprising that X360 version increased the gap little. Especially as PS3 owners will probably again buy a lot more PES compared to X360 owners.

Playstation Brand has allways been huge for Football so this is indeed surprising... 360 sells much more shooters and Action RPG´s or Action Games Ps3 tends to sell more God of War like Games and Sports.
