what is so good about Blade Runner?

Wait a sec, so you loved American Beauty, yet failed to like Blade Runner? Ok.

The rest of you list is pretty coherent, though.  And the fact that you rate District Nine over Blade Runner speaks for itself.

In all fairness, District Nine was a pretty solid movie (and much better than Avatar).

Still, it's no Blade Runner. It's not even in the same class.
