7.5 is not a bad fucking score, if you think that, you've got some fucked up issues lol.

ITs not the score, its the quote that makes me not want to play it...see avatar for reason why. :)

I would think that your avatar would be a reason to have confidence in it.

After all, Symphony of the Night was a pretty serious departure from the series norm. It wasn't a true Castlevania, remember - it was a lot closer to Metroid.

I don't know. Are you really saying that Lords of Shadown will move the series forward?

I am getting a feeling its more of a theatre production and existing established games rip off than something that is breaking any norm. I mean, QTE Titan fights? Really? Did they just finish the first 30 minutes of God of War 3 and decide to copy that?

However maybe you are right and a back to basics is needed for 3D castlevania to work. Super Castlevania and Bloodlines took the classic combat and platforming of the series as far as possible. SOTN took the next step in making combat still an aspect of the game however adding many more elements like weapon and item searching, leveling up, exploring the gigantic castle(s) and grinding. This may as well be too much for a 3D castlevania game to pull off so back to basics may be necesary...

I guess I'll try it and see.
