Indeed. As long as you follow the natural story progression and natural endings, rather then extend stories or change story content to extend scenarios... more can't really hurt.
It only hurts whenit happens with things like Lost where everything gets delayed seasons or if when a character is supposed to get caught or died, they live on because they're the main character.
