Im one of those people who always likes to preorder games and get them first day. But it always makes me upsat when a year later even better versions of the game come out and wwith more content and a better price. Examples- Fallout 3 GOTY, Gears of War 2 GOTY, Uncharted 2 GOTY, Heavy rain move edition (I didnt buy heavy rain yet but just using it as an example).  Will this practice continue from now on?

Okay, you're upset about it.

What do you see as the solution?  Pushing every game's release date back a year so they can jam more content in or just not making more content for games after launch?

If you think the former is the solution then just don't buy the game at release and wait a year.  Odds are it'll be cheaper then even if there isn't a new, super improved version coming out.

If you think the latter is the solution then don't buy DLC and newer versions.  If there aren't enough people buying them, then they'll stop being made.

how about make that content free that is added into the game of the year editions. sounds fair to me. uncharted 2 game of the year edition is coming out on october 12th right? how about make all that extra content free for the people who already bought the game

This.

I have the exact same feelings as SpartenOmega, that I get punished as an early adopter.

They could easily compensate us by giving all the DLC for free after one year  when the GOTY/final version of a game releases.

but as an early adopter you got the play the game for a year.  If you wanted the DLC you could have bought it.  The people tha are most screwed are those that bough the game just before this was anounced and got the dlc as well.
