For those who still don't know (not bashing, it took awhile for me to get it too) a unit of Move sold is considered one Move controller plus the PS Eye, regardless of whether you bought the Eye beforehand or not.  ioi used what he called "historical controller data" and estimated that 25% of the the standalone controllers were bought by people who already had a PS Eye, so that was added to the total number of Move units.

Now, this recent update doesn't have any hard numbers, except for a total.  But, using a little math you can estimate how many Move controllers are actually out there.  America makes up 40% of the 300K units sold.  That's 120K.  Now last weeks article showed that Move Bundles made up roughly 83% of Move units sold, which would make 99.6K of total units coming from bundles.  This leaves 20.4K stand alone purchases from those who already have an Eye.  And since that is only estimated at 25% of the total stand alone units sold, that would mean 81.6K total stand alones were sold.  Or a total of 181.2K Move controllers in America.

In EMEAA, 88% of the 180K total were from bundles.  That's 158.4K.  That leaves 21.6K that were standalone controller purchases.  Again, this is estimated to be only 25% of overall standalone Move controller purchases, which means that 86.4K standalones were purchased in EMEAA.  Or a total of 244.8K Move controllers in EMEAA.

So overall, there are ~300K Move units in homes, with a total of ~ 426K Move controllers.  Of course, this is just going off the percentages used in last weeks article, so they may have changed.

And yes, I know I am a loser.
