do you really need a credit card,debit cards are quite god as you can only use what you have although you can still go overdrawn,

but i guess if you can make the payments credit cards are fine,problems occur when you get sacked or whatever,

i only have a debit card but then i can't be trusted

Well, the downsides of debit cards have already been mentioned in the thread- if there is fraud, the money is out of your account first, and a debit card doesn't help you build your credit history. And having a card is the easiest way to get a history...
