I guess that's good for those who didn't get to experience them on their original console. Still, considering I own both I wouldn't repurchase any game I already own, especially considering you can make your own copies of your own PS1 games and play them on your PSP.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that only possible on hacked PSPs with Homebrew incorporated in them? Since I've already tried that on my PSP with PE2 and wasn't able to run it due to copyright issues.

You're correct, you have to have a PSP running custom firmware, or using some sort of exploit. a few games have emulation issues (PE2 is one of them) but it's not due to copyright issues, it's just a later generation PS1 game and those tend to emulate odd at times. Even with the emulation problems, there are some firmware versions that run PE2 just fine.

I know a lot of people here are out spoken about PSP hacking, but if you own the game already I see no harm in making it into a eboot you can run on your PSP, having to pay for it twice seems like corporate robbery to me.

Well, I tried putting CF on my PSP (mainly only for both PEs), but since nowadays, the only way to actually do it is through the PANDORA system, it seems to be a bit too much of a hassle and expensive (it would cost me as much as getting both games out of PSN, here in Portugal).

The one good thing that comes out of this is if someone wants to play PE2 and has a PS3 or PSP they won't have to drop $40 on ebay for it. If you own a lot of PS1 games like I do though, the idea of having to repurchase them to play them on the go far far outweighs the price of modding a PSP. It all comes down to situation.

I agree with you on that point, it seems far less expensive than having to re-buy them again (and having to wait for any particular game to actually come out on the PSN). I haven't really considered it throughly before mainly because I use EPSXE on my laptop (and PCSX2.0 for PS2 games) and those are far better at emulating PS1 and PS2 than the PSP and PS3.

I only wanted to experience PE and PE2 on the PSP, since after KH:BBS is done, I really haven't got anything else to play on it

Oh yeah, muccch cheaper, In so many causes I didn't spend the $9.99 PSN charges for PS1 games on physical copies of PS1 games, so there is no way I would pay more for a digital copy than a physical copy. But yes PC based PS1 emulators are much better suited, but even then the PSP emulates about 90% of PS1 games without any problems, and the ones that do have problems usually have easy solutions to get around them. I really like PSPs ability to emulate PS1 so well, I don't think I've touched my PS1 since I started playing them on my PSP (except for audio playback, I have a first generation PS1 with audio/video out)
