I think his face, hair and body look different:
i think if you at the design DMC4 Dante has a broader body compared to DMC1, who is more slender. his facial structure seems bigger and more western (the jaw-line) and the smaller eyes, his hair is different - less Japanese. and you can see his forearms in DMC4, which are larger, more like a butch western person. my point is that i dont think the design was right in DMC4 anyway, i'm glad they've decided to revamp the style because DMC4 wasnt a good game imo.
