I remember seeing a video done by the IOCC (Internation Orthodox Christian Charities) which said that Europe could learn more from America if they properly implemented support for non-profits. More funds to go to help people.
numonex, can I ask you a question? Do you have an answer for having people find work? I am looking to be involved with the starting of a non-profit that would get people to be able to do charity work, so they can get a track record and become employable. it would look to be run as a non-profit so that it can get donations to do the work. In short, have people actually be able to work for God and get their lives turned around. My reason for this is how pathetically hopeless and ineffective government services and secular systems are to bring it about. I am pushing over 3 years without full-time employment, and I trusted the secular government for work. You know what? They provide nothing in the way of help. Social services? The DMV is more humane than them where they are. Oh, I could go and rant and get political, and not do a finger to help. I think people deserve better.
In all your political venting on here, give me ONE answer you have that you are personally involved with, that would actually help anyone? Odds are you don't do anything, and just whine. You anger and resentment get in the way of actually letting go, and doing something. Likely, for you, there is a powerful cabal of religious that prevent your version of a godless utopia from coming into being. If you could just eliminate these entities, we would have the world of Star Trek, complete with dilithium crystals to fight climate change.
