And... this is generally why people view europe as far behind the US in terms with dealing with things like race and sex.
Rather then collect useful data on race, they pretend race doesn't matter by ignoring the racial differences and pretending everythings even, heck without race you can pretend the inequalites aren't there!
Then you can feel all happy and entitled and ignore inequalties and pretend everythings all good.
Though i'd point out... your from england... and England actually DOES collect the same statistics. (And actually the inequality statistics are pretty consistant with the US. Actually a bit worse race wise last i saw.)
Closing your eyes and pretending things are ok doesn't solve anything. Although I do suppose it DOES let you ignore stuff like this
