isn't the PS3 region free in regards to ps1 as well as ps3 games, so does that leave the main benifit   the ability to import US blu-rays and are there many of them that don't get a EU release or release late  that you want ?

Ps3 is region free for PS3 games only , not BDs or PS1/2 games.

Good thing I kept my  ntsc PS2 slim so i can play my US PS1/2 games .

This is probably a silly question, if you have an US account besides a EU/Aust one, are all the US PS classics  games made region free when they're put online ?

They're region free, you can buy any game on any store on any PS3 , thats why i have multiple accounts.

though the Video store doesn't work at all, i haven't tried it on the US PS3 yet, but i think its region locked by IP adress not by PS3.
