i'm more into the omnigenre that i like to call "fun games" genre. this encompasses all genres although there are some genres that have few entries into this fun game genre such as racing, fighting, and mini-game compilations. but thats just cuz realistic racing games aren't fun(if i wanted to drive realistically i would hop in my car not buy gran turismo), only arcade more action-type ones are fun like mario kart, burnout, fzero. and all 3d fighting games suck except smash bros. but 2d fighting games are awesome. and finally most mini-games suck, but i do like if they are good. basically i'm not against any genres but a few genres just don't have too many good games these days, but i enjoy those precious few when they do come along.
but i do agree a lot of people stick only to a couple genres. lots of 360 owners for example seem to only play shooters and sports, and really in sports mostly just madden. and my friend pretty much only plays rpgs and a few very select other games, but maybe that is good cuz often times his choices for non-rpgs is pretty mediocre while he ignores almost every great non-rpg out there.
so can i join your special group?
