no blu-ray built-in. what a waste for such brilliant screen.

what's worse is that OSX doesn't even support blu-ray external drive.

to me, iMac doesn't do the one thing I want it to do, what a bag of hurt

Really, it doesn't do a think you want to do? So what you want to do is not done in Windows, OSX, or Linux?

Odd. Being this computer runs all those OS's, I find it hard to understand what it is you want to do.

FYI: In windows, you can play BD's on an external player on this computer, just like you can on any computer. I have no desire however to watch DB moves on a computer screen. I use my TV for that.

let me get this straight.... in order to take full advantage of iMac's screen (which is one big feature you brought up)... not only I need to buy an addtional blu-ray player (Somehow Apple doesn't feel that blu-ray is a proven format yet), I also have to install Windows OS?

why don't I just save hundreds of dollars and just go with Window 7 PC then, many of them have blu-ray built-in.

You're sure putting a lot of stock in Blu-Ray players.

Personally, I use my computer for other things... like working. And OS X fills that requirement very well. So does Windows 7 but I prefer the built-in features and programs of OS X over Windows.
