So if you want to ask me what they did wrong, they are charging money for content that should be included with the price of the game. Unless they are adding a large amount of content, DLC is a very effective way to nickel and dime consumers.

DLC, for the most part, is content made after the game was released. So if they included all possible DLC with the game then it would never come out.

I said should be included with the price of the game, this doesn't necessarily mean it's included when you buy the game as it may not be created yet. Basically, buying the game new should entitle you to all DLC created for that title for free.

No, I think the way it is set up now is better. Because more developers are supporting their games longer with additional DLC than ever before. The only thing they might do is decrease the price, or make the DLC packs bigger. Honestly, with development costs as they are today, most deverlopers don't even make back the money they invest in the game, and you want them to give you even more for free? for shame.
