I am on legendary at the moment and have had the same issue but in a different level, it did still allow me to finish the level.  She jumped over a cliff into a river and I never saw here again... althouth I could still hear her occasionally.

Oh and killing the zealot seemed easier in legendary than normal... oddly.

But legendary as a whole is pretty tough I am finding.... 3 more levels to go.
