They cant actually. You can only play online with someone who is only up to 10 levels of difference from you.
So say you are lvl 15, you can only play with people lvl. 5 to 25.
But in this game you level up fast. Well, when you get to lvl 100 , its no so easy unless you do some grinding.

It gives you everything you need to play the game well. What weapons to upgrade. What attributes to raise, etc.

Im not saying everybody will enjoy it. But, if you are a fan of action RPG you should give this game a try. Read the website I gave you, it will help you in choosing the order of the levels to do, how to best upgrade weapons etc.
