If true they've been hinting at this for a while. Most likely the concept's cost/return ratio wasn't adding up for Microsoft however no doubt a lot of this tech will be used in future titles. Lionhead always have concept teams working on advanced tech demos that are never intended for a specific project yet will get implemented later in other projects.
