Metal Gear Solid series
I was never a fan of Splinter Cell, just for the simple fact, the story was no where near as deep as Metal Gear Solid.
Sam Fisher is not a awesome character when you compare him to Solid Snake. Graphics-wise the games are similar but Hideo Kojima puts more details in his games, as seem with all Metal Gear games in the past.
Splinter Cell is to serious compared to the hilarious comments Hideo Kojima puts in his games.
Metal Gear Solid all the way, I would rather have Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots.
