Urgh, my post I typed just vanished so I re-write a short version.
I think plat ratings are inconsistant due to the base of the ratings being inconsistant. At PS3T it used to be people voted only based on difficulty, since the site has grown many users now say things like "I would have gave it a 5 for difficulty but it takes ages so its a 9!" which throws things well out of whack compared to older games. Even really easy games nobody uses the 1-3 score much meaning too many easy games get a 2 star and other 2 star games are alot harder, making things inconsistant.
For example SvR 2010 is a 2 star, I platted that, can do it in less than a day and you can set the computer skills/difficulty so that it may as well have no AI at all, like a second player who doesn't touch the controller. Easiest thing in the world to plat. Also a 2 star plat is Resident Evil 5, most its trophies are simple to get but the Pro mode one even with infinite ammo turned on is tough to do and you'll die a lot. Its just messed up they both are 2 stars. Are others like this too.

Some fair points. If PS3T would fix the flaws in its time estimates, or perhaps even introduce a voting system for time, perhaps people wouldn't feel the need to mix time into the rating. There are games that have guides with estimates of 20 hours to plat when it's literally impossible to do it in less than 35. It's weird. But the debate about time consuming vs. difficult will never end, and there are reasonable points on both sides of the debate.
SvR = Smackdown vs. Raw? The thing is, PS3T rates RE5 as 5.56, and Smackdown as 3.86, which is another reason why Arcturus needs to move to a 10 star system (Hi Arcturus!). :)
The phenomenon where there are no games rated 1 (and none rated 10, for that matter) will happen anywhere there is voting, for a number of reasons. The only solution is to curve the results.

Are you guys referring to WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2010? If so, it looks like the average rating has dropped quite a bit since I last took a look.
