Hmm.. only once have I seen a 4 shot. Almost all of the time it takes me 5 shots, even if my friends are standing still, to kill them. Maybe if you hit them from behind it works better.

I haven't played halo 3 in a few months, but I could have sworn I remember 3 hitting people with the BR. Maybe it was 4.

The fastest you can kill with a DMR is 5 shots. However if used correctly the total time to kill with a DMR is less than the br. The weapon is harder to use than a br but far more deadly in the hands of an expert, I'm loving it.

As for the one kill betrayal problem. Make sure your not shooting your teammates in the back as the game keeps a tally of how much damage you deal your teammates, even if you don't kill them.

I thought you could 3 shot in MLG gametypes (I know i have gotten 3 shot whilst playing MLG playlist in Halo 3 and MLG custom games
