HD tv but no sound on my 360 what the point ?

I got the RROD as well, sorry man.
It has been about 7 weeks since mine RROD'd and I am still waiting for the replacement.

But WOW, Literally just now as I was typing the last sentence the doorbell rang, and it was the FedEx guy with my replacement xbox.

and I get 1 month Xbox live free.

I'm happy for you to have your console back but why the heck do people always seem so happy for getting 1 month free Live?

It's only worth about $5 USD and really MS shouldn't even bother with it unless they give RRoD's consumers a FULL 1 YEAR LIVE, after you were the one without a console for 7 weeks!!! A freaking 7 weeks my friend. All because of faulty MS hardware, not because you did anything wrong.

I really don't understand why people don't sell their 360s as soon as they come back from the first RRoD. I have 1 friend that is on the 5th RRoD (5 free months of Live, lol) and 2 other friends on their 3rd.

I have at least 9 friends with 360s and only 2 of them never got a RRoD, this is sad.

 

 Thanks man, I already am a live member so the 1 month free is pointless for now. And I agree its a lackluster way of saying "sorry". I have seriously been thinking about selling my 360 like you said, especially because all of the big multiplatform games that came out over Christmas- I bought for the PS3.

So for me the only draw that still remains is Mass Effect, and I am not sure if its worth it to be honest.

Th biggest reason outside of that is so I can remain with 1 foot in each camp of the console wars. 1 foot in PS3, and 1 in 360.
