I always hated comic books...When I was young I read the X-men and Spiderman and loved it at first but I hated that you have to read the end of a story in an other comic franchise..

I read a few though now like Halo/mass effect and The Darkness but for the rest I gave up...

I see where you're coming from.  For some people, it's fun to see how the different characters interact or that all of the characters live in the same universe (first time I saw Wolverine hanging out with the Fantastic Four, my mind exploded!).  For other people, it's just frustrating.  You buy one series and never get to see teh end of the storyline.

I suggest buying "trades" that contain entire storylines (or at least, the gist of  a major storyline).  It's what I do.  I don't have the patience to collect week by week, anymore.

Well it is fun but not if you have to buy them yourself....First I did...Then I bought like Wolverine...But then I started to buy all the wolverines;.And then one story continued in the Avengers..And X-women...and before i knew I was collecting like 10 different comics;.

Well I don't know if it is a trade but I have 'The Darkness' compilation 1... 50 comics for 60$...Pretty cheap...But damned so heavy to read (almost 1300 pages so what to expect =p).
