1927 - The effects of EM radiation on humans are determined
1932 - Deaths from radiation poisoning caused by exposure to Radium are heard of, and attributed to the right cause, even if it isn't fully understand how it works
1935 - Deaths from radiation poisoning from radium are quite prevalent, and completely understood
1945 - Hey, lets drop these Atomic bombs, there'll probably be no side effects
