As a gaming exclusive device or even a primarily gaming device that runs a handful of other aps as well, no.
Most gamers won't carry anything that large most places just so they can bust out some games when they need to kill some time. Barring those who carry a backpack or messenger bag everywhere they go maybe.
If it had strong media playback capabilities and a usable, fully functional web browser with 3G network connectivity, then it becomes more useful as a portable device (read: worth carrying around), but it would still need to provide some sort of environment for buying and running aps other than just games. In other words, an Android app store or iTunes store.
