I saw a copy of Dragon's Lair on HD-DVD. Confused the hell out of me to see a classic adventure game on sale as an HD-DVD, but it's the only thing I've seen so far that made me wish I had an HD format player.

Or I could just find an old copy of it in one of the many formats it was originally released in and enjoy that just as much, I guess.

I am pretty sure they offer Dragon's Lair on Blu-Ray as well. That is if you own a PS3 and/or BD Player.

 

When I read the review for it on IGN back in April though, it said the PS3 BD player wouldn't allow the 5 lives option and only let's you play with Unlimited Lives. I wonder if this was ever fixed. It was something to do with Java.

 Nah, I don't care at all about HD. To me, the transition from 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9 is far more important than adding more pixels. Sure, HD is a sharper image, but I consider it to be a marginal improvement which I'll gladly adopt when it becomes only marginally more expensive.
