I know what I'm talking about, I already had several gaming PCs and everytime I bought a new one or did a complete overhaul it cost me about three times the price of a console. I gave advices to 2 good friends lately in getting a new PC and in the end both spent around 4 times the price of a 360s Arcade or Wii. 5 years later they will buy a new one (me included. I got mine in mid 2009). Which is around as much as a console generation.

ah then must have went out and bought premade pc's. the last premade pc i had bought in 2002 for around the price of what the ps3 cost. my premade pc was ok so when i decided to buy a new one and wanted to have awesome graphics and be more powerful at playing games then the ps3 was it only cost me less then the ps3. 500 dollars at the beginning of 2009 where the ps3 was still around 500-600 dollars. the only thing ill need to upgrade will be the ram but i can play the new games at max still and it looks way better then the ps3 does. i always advise my friends to have a pc built and not premade and always over a console. the only console i bought was the wii and that was cause of the motion controls. price of the games on the pc outshine those of the consoles that is why i play pc games more then i do console games. for instance ive had a counterstrike and half life2 game since early 2000 and just recently they made portal free for people for like a week. then you have free games and mods that are good as well.
